Republic of Korea (ROK) Navy Lt j.g. Woosek Choi, ROK engineering site company commander assigned to Pacific Partnership 2026 (PP26), teaches Korean to students during a PP26 host nation outreach event at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Datuk Peter Mojuntin school in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Sept. 8, 2026. During the event, U.S. and partner nation military service members discussed a myriad of healthcare information with students and school staff, and the Pacific Partnership Band performed. Now in its 22nd iteration, the Pacific Partnership series is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster management preparedness mission conducted in the region. Pacific Partnership works collaboratively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
