Malaysian Armed Forces service members watch a presentation during a Pacific Partnership 2026 (PP26) host nation outreach line of effort event with the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) at Institut Tadbiran Awam Negara Sabah in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Sept. 7, 2026. During the engagement, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, and Canadian Armed Forces officers across various career fields, including medical, supply, and the chaplain corps, met and shared personal insights on military service, career pathways, and the diverse roles officers serve in mission readiness and disaster response with Malaysian Armed Forces ROTC students. Now in its 22nd iteration, the Pacific Partnership series is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster management preparedness mission conducted in the region. Pacific Partnership works collaboratively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
