Malaysian healthcare practitioners attend a Pacific Partnership 2026 (PP26) pediatric symposium at Hospital Wanita Dan Kanak-Kanak Sabah Likas in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Sept. 7, 2026. Highlights of the visit included a pediatric symposium and a hands-on knowledge exchange focused on ultrasound procedures and techniques, enabling U.S., partner nations, and Malaysian Armed Forces healthcare professionals to share best practices, enhance emergency response capabilities, and strengthen regional health resilience. Now in its 22nd iteration, the Pacific Partnership series is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster management preparedness mission conducted in the region. Pacific Partnership works collaboratively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
