    U.S. National Guardsmen assigned to Joint Task Force-District of Columbia (JTF-DC) in support of the DC Safe and Beautiful mission, join U.S. Park Police and firefighters to climb 110 stories inside the Washington Monument in honor of the 25th anniversary of Patriot Day in Washington, Sept. 8, 2026. Patriot Day is observed every year on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, which targeted the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a Fourth plane that was brought down by passengers in a Pennsylvania field.
