A group of people wearing matching green-and-black plaid shirts and traditional Alpine hats with feathers gather at the base of a tall stone memorial tower featuring a cross near its top. The tower appears to be a war memorial or ossuary, constructed from cut stone blocks with Romanesque-style arched windows and an inscribed plaque. The scene suggests an organized commemorative gathering or veterans' association event.

The Fanfara Storica della Sezione di Vicenza (Italian Alpini Band, Vicenza Section), members of the Esercito Italiano, including the Carabinieri and several sections of Alpini, join regional community leaders at the 100th anniversary of the Ossuary of Monte Pasubio, Italy, Sept. 6, 2026. The Monte Pasubio War Memorial, inaugurated August 29, 2026, honors approximately 5,000 Italian soldiers, as well as 60 unknown Austro-Hungarian soldiers who lost their lives between 1916-1918 in some of the most intense series battles of WWI in the Pasubio Mountains.
