    U.S. Air Force Col. Matthew Taylor, deputy commander, 353rd Special Operations Wing, thanks Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Col. Masatsugu Niioka, chief of staff, 1st Helicopter Brigade, for his partnership during a bilateral engagement between the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and Air Force Special Operations Command, Camp Kisarazu, Japan, Aug. 28, 2026. Taylor and Niioka served as senior mentors throughout the five-day engagement, guiding participating members and strengthening bilateral cooperation between the U.S. and Japan.
