Lt. Todd Hlavac, a staff nurse assigned to the Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy, changes the dressing for a Vietnamese patient before his discharge to a local hospital. Mercy is capable of supporting medical, dental and engineering humanitarian needs and can readily respond to a range of situations on short notice. It is prepared to provide a range of services afloat and ashore.
