U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Jonathan Wilson, an audiologist assigned to Pacific Partnership 2026 (PP26), poses for a photo during a community health engagement at Imago Shopping Mall in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Sept. 5, 2026. At the event, military and civilian medical professionals from the U.S., Malaysia, and five partner nations worked together to bring their expertise straight to the public, with an intent to build Sabah’s resilience and capability to manage hazards such as flooding, earthquakes, and tsunamis. Now in its 22nd iteration, the Pacific Partnership series is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster management preparedness mission conducted in the region. Pacific Partnership works collaboratively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
