    Hawaii Guardsmen unload equipment from a CH-47 Chinook, Lihue, Hawaii, Sept. 5, 2026. In preparation for Hurricane Lowell, the HING is pre-positioning personnel, equipment and high-wheeled vehicles on Kauai to be ready to respond as requests are received.
