    A U.S. Green Beret assigned to 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) works with Indonesia Nation Armed Forces, Special Forces on a Drop Zone in South Sumatra, Indonesia, Sep. 3, 2026. Military Free Fall (MFF) operations are advanced airborne insertion techniques allowing Special Operations Forces clandestine entry into denied or hostile territory.

    1st SFG(A) maintains highly lethal, rapidly deployable forces to execute the full spectrum of special operations alongside allies, partners, and the joint force as the preferred partner and premier special operations entity in the U.S. Pacific Command area of responsibility.
