    U.S. Army Parachute Team, the Golden Knights

    On September 5th, 2026, The Golden Knights had the honor of being part of something bigger than a game.
    Lt. Col. Brandon Shah was an Army officer and mentor who dedicated his life to serving others. He returned to Old Dominion University to lead and shape the next generation of Soldiers, leaving behind a lasting impact on the community he served.
    During the tribute game honoring his life and service, the Golden Knights were honored to bring a ball and baton from the sky and present them to his wife and son. A small gesture carrying a great deal of meaning.

    We are grateful to have shared this moment with the Shah family, the Old Dominion community and the cadets who continue to carry his legacy forward.
