The image shows an open ocean scene with two vessels visible on choppy blue water. A smaller, fast-moving rigid inflatable boat (RIB) is in the foreground-middle distance, creating a white wake as it speeds toward a larger white motor yacht in the background. The photo appears to be taken from another vessel, with a partial view of a rusted hull or structure visible on the right edge.

U.S. Marines with Littoral Combat Force-24, and U.S. Sailors with San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS San Antonio (LPD 17), approach the San Antonio during a Maritime Interdiction Operation while underway in the Pacific Ocean, Sept. 5, 2026. U.S. military forces are deployed to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility in support of Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere, Department of War-directed operations, and the President's priorities to disrupt illicit drug trafficking, deter malign actors and protect the homeland through continuous presence.
