    WASHINGTON (September 1, 2026) - Director, Irregular Warfare Center (IWC) Dr. Dennis Walters opens the 2026 Scholars Colloquium with remarks and discussions on “The Homeland is the New Front Line and Building Networks and Leaders to Defend It” during the 2026 IWC Scholars Colloquium, Sept. 1, 2026. The two-day IWC’s 2026 Scholar’s Colloquium held Sept. 1–2, 2026, directly advanced the 2026 National Defense Strategy Line of Effort 1 by cultivating early-to-mid-career researchers and generating actionable concepts for national defense and the Department of War.
