Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) Production Resources Manager (Code 901) Jason Wills led a discussion as part of the shipyard’s Leadership Insight Series Aug. 25 entitled, “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie: Moving From Quick-Fix Solutions to Capable Leadership in Shipyard Teams.” In this discussion, Wills shares insights he was able to incorporate at NNSY similar to those in the popular children’s book, avoiding creating a chain of dependencies and building sustainable leadership and long-term capability in teammates.
