NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY NAPLES, Italy (Sept. 1, 2026) Alan Gorski, casualty assistance program manager assigned to Commander, Navy Region Europe, Africa, Central, announces the names of fallen service members as a bell is rung during the 2026 Bells Across America ceremony for fallen service members at the NSA Naples Capodichino Chapel, Sept. 1, 2026. The annual ceremony honors service members who died while serving on active duty and recognizes the enduring sacrifice of Gold Star families. NSA Naples is an operational ashore base home to over 55 tenant commands and 8,500 personnel. Providing a forward-deployed platform to the fleet that enables the warfighter and supports the family, NSA Naples supports U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, U.S. Sixth Fleet, NATO, and combatant commander strategic priorities to ensure stability across the European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility.
