A smiling military service member in OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) uniform is holding up a clear plastic bag containing what appears to be a challenge coin or patch related to a 'Flyer March' Air Force event. They are wearing glasses and carrying a tactical backpack with blue rank or unit insignia patches visible. The photo appears to be taken outdoors in front of a light-colored building.

Pfc. Christian Burns of the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade shows his Flyver March Medal after completing the Danish Flyver March on 28 August, 2026 on Katterbach Kaserne, Germany. The 20-kilometer Royal Danish Air Force Flyver March is an endurance event originating from Denmark that provides participants with the opportunity to earn the official Flyver March Medal. Soldiers completed the ruck march demonstrating physical readiness, resilience and camaraderie. This event being hosted by the 12th CAB, 29 Soldiers from 2-159th Attack Battalion, 1-214th General Support Aviation Battalion, and 12th Combat Aviation Brigade Headquarters started the march at 04:30, with the sun still beyond the horizon and completed 5 laps around the Katterbach airfield, amounting to just over 12 miles.
