Lt. Gen. Jason Voorheis officially took command of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) during an assumption of command ceremony at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, Aug. 27, 2026. AFLCMC employs more than 21,000 personnel across the enterprise and is responsible for the total life cycle management for aircraft, engines, munitions, electronics and cyber systems. Lt. Gen. Linda Hurry, Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) commander, presided over the ceremony and opened her remarks by highlighting Voorheis’ accomplishments and the career path that ultimately led to his taking command of the Center. Voorheis succeeded former AFLCMC commander Lt. Gen. Donna Shipton, who retired July 10 after nearly 34 years of Air Force service.
