A military medic in OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) uniform and full tactical gear is performing a medical treatment or assessment on a simulated casualty lying on a litter/stretcher on a gravel surface. The casualty, wearing woodland camouflage BDUs with an exposed chest, has simulated wound makeup (orange/red moulage) applied to the neck and torso area. This appears to be a combat casualty care training exercise based on the controlled environment and simulated injuries.

U.S. Army Cpl. Amelia Vazquez, security forces senior medic assigned to Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 124th Infantry Regiment, Task Force Seminole, Florida Army National Guard, prepares a simulated casualty for transport to medical facilities during an exercise at Cooperative Security Location Kismayo, Somalia, Aug. 18, 2026. The exercise combined base defense operations with the East African Response Force’s outstation crisis response mission to strengthen readiness and interoperability across East Africa.
