EWA BEACH, Hawaii – Amanda Snow, natural resources manager at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH), provides U.S. Navy chief petty officer selectees and chief petty officers assigned to commands at JBPHH with an overview of White Plains Beach and discusses the importance of their community clean-up efforts in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Aug. 29, 2026. The volunteers removed litter, swept public facilities, and cleared surrounding pathways as part of the Chief Petty Officer Initiation season. Their efforts helped maintain the recreational grounds while providing selectees an opportunity to strengthen teamwork, leadership, and civic responsibility.
