    U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Joshua Zollo, a security forces specialist assigned to the Connecticut Air National Guard (ANG), exits a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle to assist during a simulated emergency response exercise at the Combined Arms Collective Training Facility at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, Aug. 25, 2026. Patriot 26, an ANG-hosted exercise taking place at Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center, brings together approximately 1,000 Airmen and Soldiers from National Guard units across 35 states, along with federal, state and local agencies, to enhance domestic response readiness and interagency coordination during large-scale emergencies.
