A Portable Lightweight Designator Rangefinder, used by Marines with 1st Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, I Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, designates a target with a laser for aircraft terminal guidance during Operation Jacob, a close air support exercise at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Aug. 20, 2026.
