Representatives from Knappschaft Kliniken GmbH meet with Landstuhl Regional Medical Center personnel during a visit to LRMC, Sept. 19, 2026. During the meeting, representatives discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation, better understand each organization’s medical capabilities and strengthen coordination for the care of patients requiring specialized trauma and other complex medical services. Knappschaft Kliniken GmbH is a German hospital network comprising 12 acute care hospitals and several rehabilitation clinics in North Rhine-Westphalia and Saarland, with facilities ranging from local to supra-regional trauma centers and specialized capabilities for treating severe burn injuries. The engagement supports continued collaboration between LRMC and German civilian medical partners and strengthens relationships that contribute to continuity of care throughout the region.
