Idaho Air and Army National Guard members participate in Red Card certification training at Orchard Fire and Emergency Services at Camp Orchard, Idaho, Aug. 17-21 and Aug. 24-29, 2026. The training prepares Guardsmen to safely support wildland firefighting operations if activated and covers fire behavior, weather, safety, risk mitigation and other hazards associated with working on the fire line. The training increases the Idaho National Guard’s pool of qualified personnel available to support state and local agencies during periods of heightened fire activity.
