U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Elijah Robinson, 163d Attack Wing public affairs, California Air National Guard, documents civil engineer operations during a deployment for training (DFT) at Seward Military Resort in Seward, Alaska, Aug. 20, 2026. Thirty-nine Airmen across seven Air Force Specialty Codes participated in the fifth and final rotation of civil engineer units from across the country, conducting trenching, metal wrapping, electrical work, concrete placement and roofing across four structures. The DFT allowed Airmen to upgrade the Morale, Welfare and Recreation facility while completing training requirements that prepare them to perform their duties in overseas and deployed environments. Robinson used video, photography and written content to document and communicate civil engineer contributions to the project. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Tech. Sgt. Pagan)
