U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation personnel participate in New York Wetland Rapid Assessment Procedure training held by ERDC at Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve in Buffalo, New York on August 24, 2026. The NYWRAP was developed to support USACE Regulatory Program decision-making under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 providing a transparent, repeatable, and defensible functional assessment approach applicable across all non-tidal freshwater wetlands in New York State, ensuring decision-makers have the resources needed to objectively evaluate alternatives, assess unavoidable impacts, and determine compensatory mitigation requirements.
