An osprey circles its nest at Perry Lake in northeast Kansas on July 31, 2026. Staff with the Kansas City District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks at Perry Lake recorded the state’s second successful osprey nesting in July 2026, three years after recording the state’s first-ever successful osprey nesting and fledging.
