Command Sgt. Maj. Thomas L. Delano, incoming command sergeant major of Joint Task Force – District of Columbia (JTF-DC), assumes responsibility from Command Sgt. Maj. Scott McKennon during a change of responsibility ceremony at the D.C. Armory in Washington, Aug. 18, 2026. The ceremony marked the formal transfer of responsibility between the outgoing and incoming command sergeants major and recognized McKennon’s leadership and service to JTF-DC. Delano will serve as the senior enlisted advisor to the JTF-DC commander and provide leadership and guidance to enlisted personnel assigned to the task force.
