    U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Frank Walker, bottom, and Maj. Ian Park, both assigned to Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) 7, practice jiu-jitsu at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 14, 2026. This training focused on fitness, technique, and friendly competition, challenging service members physically and mentally while building resilience and confidence. Within the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations, ESG 7 is responsible for conducting expeditionary warfare operations with Navy and Marine Corps capabilities to support theater contingencies that range from crisis response to full combat operations.
