YOKOSUKA, Japan (Aug. 12, 2026) – A Catholic priest celebrates Mass for children and family members during the Chapel of Hope Summer Program onboard Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY). The weeklong program offered base youth religious instruction, crafts and team-building activities as part of the chapel’s summer programming, which supports the readiness and resiliency of Yokosuka families. CFAY provides, maintains and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and more than 27,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
