The pre-commissioning unit future Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ted Stevens (DDG 128), completes its first of two Full Ship Shock Trials, proving it can withstand the demanding conditions modern warships are built to face, July 16, 2026. Full Ship Shock Trials consist of massive underwater explosions which test the ship’s ability to withstand the shock of combat, helping ensure the advanced capabilities Sailors depend on are ready for the mission.
