USACE in partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands are building 22 modular classrooms at Koblerville Elementary School in Saipan. The classrooms are replacements for the classrooms damaged by Super Typhoon Sinlaku, which caused widespread damage to the islands of Saipan, Tinian and Rota. The new classrooms are climate-controlled and engineered to withstand winds up to 194 mph.
