U.S. Air Force Col. Christopher Robinson, 81st Training Wing commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Jamie Munn, 81st Mission Support Group senior enlisted leader, present a certificate to Airman 1st Class Marquis Pittman, 81st Security Forces Squadron installation entry controller and flight armorer, during the Warrior of the Week presentation at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, Aug. 12, 2026. Since joining delta flight in January, 2026, he quickly earned an "Exceptional Well Qualified" rating on his installation entry controller certification. Dual-certified in managing the 81st SFS armory, Pittman maintains flawless accountability for five weapon systems and 22,000 rounds of ammunition valued at $3.6 million, safeguarding resources for 14 flight members with zero discrepancies. He volunteered as both a physical fitness leader and flight line driver trainer, mentoring five new Airmen and ensuring their rapid integration and success. When a retired veteran suffered anaphylaxis at the installation gate, Pittman acted without hesitation, recognizing the emergency, providing reassurance, and relaying vital details to medical personnel.
