This medal honoring the U.S. Presidents who died by assassination, Abraham Lincoln, James A. Garfield, William McKinley, and John F. Kennedy, was manufactured by the New York Medallic Art Company of New York in 1965. It was designed by medalist Ralph J. Menconi (marked). It is bronze with a patina. It resides in the Historical Collections of the National Museum of Health and Medicine in Silver Spring, Maryland. [M-902.00111]
Extended: The obverse features raised relief bust portraits of the four presidents with facsimile signatures. The reverse displays American flags and the Great Seal/eagle emblem, along with an inscription listing each president and their date of death. The medal is sandwiched between two plastic sheets and rests on an easel.
