    John Adams, a local musician, plays the violin during the Fairbanks Veterans Stand Down, Aug 15, 2026. Adams is a Veteran who retired from the 168th Wing, Alaska Air National Guard and plays music at the Fairbanks Veterans Stand Down event every year. 168th Wing Airmen continue a tradition of volunteering and supporting the Fairbanks Veterans Stand Down by providing essential resources and connecting with Veterans through medical and dental support, meal preparation and camaraderie.
