Air Force Capt. Brittnie Wedel, a 36th Operations Support Squadron air battle manager, directs air defense assets during Exercise Valiant Shield 26 at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, July 1, 2026. Wedel, who served as a regional air defense command director and command and control exercise director, participated in a pioneering biometric experiment designed to study and optimize warfighter decision-making under combat stress.
