U.S. Navy Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Braulio Ramirez, assigned to San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23), directs a knuckle boom crane towards an 11-meter Naval Special Warfare Ridged Inflatable Boat, assigned to Maritime Raid Force, Maritime Reconnaissance Platoon, for launch during boat operations, Aug. 16, 2026. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit are currently underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 3rd fleet area of operations to enhance their combined Navy-Marine Corps Readiness and lethality.
