U.S. Navy Construction Mechanic 2nd Class Zac Muller, assigned to Naval Construction Battalion 27, installs lighting in an Alaskan tent while setting up an expeditionary camp supporting forces participating in Northern Viking 26 (NV26) at Keflavik Air Base, Iceland, Aug. 16, 2026. NV26 strengthens interoperability and force readiness between the U.S., Iceland and Allied nations, enabling multi-domain command and control of joint and coalition forces in the defense of Iceland and sea lines of communication in the Greenland-Iceland-United Kingdom (GIUK) gap.
