    U.S. Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Alexandra Rodriguez, a combat medic from the Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, Army Reserve Medical Command located in Pinellas Park, Fla., retrieves a butterfly needle from a blood draw tote basket, in the emergency department of the Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., on Aug. 10, 2026. Soldiers from AR-MEDCOM and downtrace units participated in the Military Readiness Skills Sustainment Program in the National Capital Region, working alongside their active-duty counterparts in a variety of areas, including patient care, biomedical services, dental clinics and logistics, during their two-week annual training.
