U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Logan Perry, a small unmanned aircraft system (sUAS) operator with the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border in support of Operation Ardent Vanguard, flies a Skydio X10 Small Unmanned Aircraft System during a demonstration near the U.S.-Mexico border in California, Aug. 5, 2026. The event demonstrates the capability to transmit a live video feed directly from small unmanned aircraft systems to the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) to enhance ground-based patrol capabilities along the southern border.
