The crew of Coast Guard Cutter Blackfin, an 87-foot patrol boat homeported in Santa Barbara, California, transits offshore during training with a Coast Guard Air Station Ventura MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew offshore Long Beach, California. Blackfin's crew acted as a vessel underway for the helicopter crew to practice hoisting a rescue basket, rescue litter and a direct deployment of a Coast Guard rescue swimmer to maintain proficiency for search and rescue cases.
