U.S. Marines with Company B, 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, Marine Forces Reserve, present the colors during a sundown ceremony for the amphibious assault vehicle, Jacksonville, Florida, August 9, 2026. The ceremony formally decommissioned the AAV, ending over half a decade of service as the Marine Corps’ primary ship-to-shore vehicle.
