Years of planning, engineering and construction culminated as federal, state and local leaders joined the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District and project partners to celebrate the completion of the Three Rivers Project near Tichnor, Arkansas, Aug. 12, 2026.
U.S. Sen. John Boozman, U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford and the Hon. Adam Telle, assistant secretary of the Army for civil works, joined USACE leaders and project partners for the event. Attendees also included Maj. Gen. Jason Kelly, USACE deputy commanding general for Civil and Emergency Operations; David Hibner, Southwestern Division Senior Executive Service civilian, director of programs; Col. Tom Allard, Little Rock District commander; Dr. Darrin Curtis, Little Rock District civilian deputy. VIP party arrived to the event via Black Hawk.
