    The final piece of a submerged crane is removed from the Cooper River at Pier G in Charleston, South Carolina, July 30, 2026. The U.S. Coast Guard oversaw salvage operations to protect the marine environment and restore the waterway, working with port partners and a contracted salvage company to remove the crane after it fell into the river on July 10.
