U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to Transformation in Contact (TiC) units and Army trainers from the Program Manager Uncrewed Aircraft System (PM UAS) train on Group 2 drone flight operations during the Medium Range Reconnaissance (MRR) Rodeo at Clarke Range in Anniston, Alabama, June 23, 2026. As part of the Army’s initiative to test and field new technologies directly with operational units, this event allowed Soldiers to familiarize themselves with multiple Group 2 systems currently listed on the UAS Marketplace, perform live flight operations, and receive formal instruction on marketplace best practices and procurement procedures.
