Three U.S. Army female soldiers in full combat uniforms and helmets are posing together outdoors on a grassy field. Their name tapes are visible: BYRD (left), CULLER (center), and CARTER (right), all wearing U.S. ARMY insignia. The setting appears to be a military installation or training area with trees and buildings visible in the background.

Soldiers assigned to the 298th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (CSSB), Mississippi Army National Guard, participate in sling load training and execute a helicopter sling load mission at Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center, Michigan, on Aug. 6, 2026, in support of Northern Strike 26-2. The training enhanced the unit's ability to prepare, inspect, and transport equipment by air, strengthening sustainment capabilities and mission readiness during the exercise. Northern Strike 26-2 is a premier reserve component readiness exercise that enhances interoperability and strengthens joint, interagency, and multinational partnerships through realistic, large-scale training.
