Soldiers assigned to the 298th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (CSSB), Mississippi Army National Guard, participate in sling load training and execute a helicopter sling load mission at Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center, Michigan, on Aug. 6, 2026, in support of Northern Strike 26-2. The training enhanced the unit's ability to prepare, inspect, and transport equipment by air, strengthening sustainment capabilities and mission readiness during the exercise. Northern Strike 26-2 is a premier reserve component readiness exercise that enhances interoperability and strengthens joint, interagency, and multinational partnerships through realistic, large-scale training.
