Aaron Anderson, commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District, and other members of the command team visited Barcelona Harbor, Dunkirk Harbor, and U.S. Coast Guard Sector Eastern Great Lakes during an area of responsibility (AOR) tour on Aug. 6, 2026, in western New York. The tour provided an opportunity to engage with project delivery teams, partners, and stakeholders while highlighting the Buffalo District's navigation mission and the importance of maintaining safe, reliable infrastructure that supports commerce, public safety, and the communities it serves.
