Two U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa Airmen and one Airman recently assigned to the command were selected as recipients of the Air Force's 2026 Outstanding Airmen of the Year award, recognizing them among the service's top enlisted performers for exceptional leadership, mission accomplishment and service. Senior Master Sgt. Michael J. Falleroni, 693rd Intelligence Support Squadron senior enlisted leader, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, and Senior Airman Nathan Carver, 48th Component Maintenance Squadron aerospace propulsion journeyman, Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, earned the honor while assigned to USAFE-AFAFRICA. Senior Airman Sierra Mueller, 39th Contracting Squadron contracting specialist, Incirlik Air Base, Türkiye, earned the award while assigned to Pacific Air Forces before later joining USAFE-AFAFRICA.
