A Commemorative Air Force Alaska Wing BT-13 Valiant aircraft takes off during an incentive flight at Merrill Field Airport, Alaska, Aug. 5, 2026. The CAF’s local wing offered participants a hands-on journey through aviation history before the biennial Arctic Thunder Open House Aug. 8 & 9.
