Michael Kjar’s family replaces his colonel rank with stars as he is promoted to the rank of Brigadier General following his appointment to the Adjutant General of the Utah National Guard in a ceremony held on Roland Wright Air Base, Utah, Aug 3, 2026. The Adjutant General is the commanding general of the Utah National Guard and is appointed by the governor.
